3D and 4D Work
This is a wall-mounted interactive electrical sculpture first exhibited at the Glee Medicine Show in Kansas City, MO on March 18, 2009. At the time I was researching Duchamp's concept of the art coefficent and being that this exhibition was to focus on interactive and collaborative art I felt that this would be a good theme for a work in this exhibition. There are ten light bulbs on the upper half of this sculpture, and ten switches on the bottom half. At a glace one may suspect that each bulb has its own switch, but the wiring is actually much more complicated, making interaction with the sculpture unpredictable.
